At last

Finally reader, a viewing on my flat today. First one in 3 months. Now obviously I am not going to get my hopes up too much, but what about this, the name of the woman viewing the flat is Hope!

I did indeed drop the price of the flat £5000 earlier this week and I have noticed that since it first went on the market prices seem to have dropped a bit more in general. Strange how annoying estate agents are though, so happy and jolly and full of enthusiasm when you first meet them and sign on the dotted line, and then so full of gloom and doom 3 weeks later when they have your contract.

The pay off is that the price of houses in East Lancashire has also dropped, so really it will make little difference in the long run. I suppose it is just easy to get bogged down on what the flat used to be worth. Can't think like that any more or you drive yourself mad. At least I am still in profit.

So wish me luck.

  2. Good luck :) we sold our house last year for less than we wanted to, but we also bought for less than we expected to be able to, so it all levelled off, we are happier than ever now! try and look beyond the price, think of your future and where you want to be..it will all fall into place! ..a few viewing tips as well, fresh flowers, coffee brewing and bake a cake, your flat will be full of homely smells then :) think positive!! xx

  3. Dan, if you are still looking for a reasonably priced slow cooker, Asda are selling 3.5 litre ones for £9.00 at the moment. Go, grab yourself one before they sell out!

  4. Oops, deleted my comment accidentally I think.
I said thanks to linzi, very good advice and I will try anything at the moment.
Sarina, that is a real bargain and I will get myself one this week.

  5. Good luck with the viewing. We bought a slow cooker just this week from Tesco, reduced from £15 to £10. We had a stew in it on Thursday and it was delicious.

  10. It's all positive, she is coming for a second viewing on Saturday and bringing her sister. She was very keen when she walked around here, but you never know, sometimes people are like that and you never hear from them again. Still, it seems like something to feel hopeful about so far.
Thanks to you all for your good wishes.
