A video

What a positive response I got for yesterday's post!

I got fancy messing around with a video/slideshow with soundtrack yesterday - something new to me. It was good fun to do and interesting to watch I think (I hope you find it so too) I know a lot of the photos are those I have shown before but it is the order which makes them interesting.

  1. I must admit to having to watch it twice as I switched off to listen to the singing first time around! Were you playing the piano as well? Lovely garden pictures, really shows what you have accomplished since moving in!

  6. Lovely to see the progression of the garden throughout the year - how it has changed since you moved in. If that is you singing then you should know that I found it very moving.

  9. Beautiful voice! It is a setting of an E A Housman poem isn't it? The garden seems to be getting better and better.

  13. Hello Dan, so glad that I was directed to your blog. I share in your passion for gardening and indeed music of all kinds, don't ask me to sing though, not very pretty. I enjoyed the video of your garden and how it has developed, very satisfying. Off now to add your blog to my link (Blogs I like)

  18. How nice to see that you went on to make that video record after all, after seeing mine just a few days ago, that was speedily delivered! Lovely garden photos and lovely music, from the other comments here I assume it is you singing and playing, I don’t know this piece, what is it?

I always use classical music for my gardening videos and photo slideshows, somehow I think most classical pieces are just so appropriate. I have an idea for my next garden video, haven’t started yet, but it will be with music from Fauré Requiem in D minor, op 48 - probably late February or early March. If you visit my blog regularly you’ll see it when it’s ready :-)

    Have a great day!
